Auditions for Nathaniel Hawthorne’s THE SCARLET LETTER adapted by Phyllis Nagy

HESTER PRYNNE, 30-40’, confident, ironic; 

PEARL, 16-25, Hester’s daughter, impish, precocious;

MISTRSS HIBBENS, 30-40, alluring, a witch;

ARTHUR DIMMESDALE,30-40, Puritan minister, sickly, wracked with  guilt; 

ROGER CHILLINGSWORTH, 50-ish, hump backed, Hester’s ex-husband, would-be doctor, craggy, foreboding;

GOVERNOR BELLINGHAM, 40-50. Well-meaning, effete, brother of Mistress Hibbens;

BRACKETT, 35-50, kind, slow on the uptake.

Auditionees will be reading from the script. Rehearsals begin July 30; production dates, Sept. 7-30.

Auditions for DEATHTRAP by Ira Levin - Sunday, April 8, 7 p.m.

5 actors. 1 set. Nobody’s getting out alive…

The Aux Dog is proud to announce auditions for their upcoming production of DEATHTRAP, directed by Colin A Borden, a comedy-thriller by Ira Levin about how far one will go for a hit play.

Auditions will be held in the X-Space, 3015 Monte Vista Blvd., NE, directly beside the theater itself from 7pm on Sunday April 8th.

Rehearsals will begin April 11th with full schedule to follow. The play opens on May 18th.

Auditions will consist of reading selected sides from the script.

We are casting the following parts:

Sidney Bruhl - 40s-60s, very physical part; an erudite showman and devilishly good playwright who hasn’t had a hit in years, but is willing to do whatever it takes be back on top.

Clifford Anderson - 20s, very physical part; a young playwright, eager to get his work read and out into the world.

Helga ten Dorp - 30s-50s, Eastern European accent; a gypsy with the gift of ESP and a prime spot on the Merv Griffin show.

Porter Milgrim - 60s; a gentlemanly lawyer, friend and confidant to Sidney.

All parts are open to all ethnicities. DEATHTRAP is set in 1978 in the woods of Connecticut.
