This January, a 9-day event showcasing solo performances by New Mexico artists on the intimate and interactive Aux Dog stage including an original one-woman show, Motown sounds of sweet soul, and a production of an award-winning solo show that many still consider THE breakthrough monologue show originally performed 25 years ago.

Claudia Shear eats her way through 64 menial jobs in this true account of a woman's life at the edges of American society. Artist's model, receptions at a whorehouse, waitress, proofreader, Shear is the underling's underling and gives us a droll, insightful and ultimately frightening look at the inner lives of those who serve us.
"Nobody is just a busboy," she says at evening's end, insistently reminding the audience that everyone they meet, including the seemingly faceless people in menial jobs, "has a story that will stop your heart...It's a story that will stop your heart."
THE SOUNDS OF SWEET SOUL starring J. J. JONES, January 12, 13, 14 are over but a special performance is scheduled for Sunday, January 28 at 6 p.m.

J.J. brings the songs of Motown legendary singers, Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding, Jackie Wilson, Smokey Robinson and The Temptations to Q SOLO.
J..J. started singing in church in Chicago, at the tender age of 8. Winner of numerous vocal competitions and variety productions, J.J. has appeared in over 20 Feature Films and more than 10 TV productions.
